Västernorrland is in the heart of Sweden and the centre of the Nordic region and consists of two provinces: Medelpad and Ångermanland. We are a diverse county full of possibilities. In an area covering nearly 22,000 square kilometers, you´ll find wonderful natural and cultural attractions with three wild rivers, enchanted forests, spectacular countryside recognized as a world heritage site because of its unique rising land, and pleasant city life. We host a large number of sporting activities and are home to Sweden´s newest university. Västernorrland is also a county with a strong and stable commercial sector that produces some of the best goods and services in the country and that is based on our strong industrial tradition.
